This has been an exciting week where we have been able to try out lots of our different maths skills. In the Titanic theme itself, children were initially learning about grids and plotting coordinates to create an image of the titanic.
Then, oh no! The ship hit an iceberg. Everyone used their measuring skills to work out the perimeter of the wholes in an effort to be able to make something to repair it. Sadly, we were not successful. We had to use tally marks to record the data of all the 3D objects the ship had broken into on the bottom of the ocean floor. To communicate this better, we then converted the data into a bar graph. It has been great fun and included a variety of learning.
