Nurture at Langlee

At Langlee Primary School we strive to ensure a whole school nurturing approach for all of our pupils.

Nurture is a ‘tried and tested’ way of interacting with children that enables the development of vital social skills, confidence and self-esteem and ensures they are ready to learn, getting the most out of their academic activities.

It encompasses a range of social factors including relationships, interactions and the environment.  It highlights the significance of the social environment on the development of social and emotional skills and wellbeing.

The approach is based on research, evidence, support tools and threaded throughout are The Six Principles of Nurture.
