Shooglenifty and Knights

This we we had a special performance in the hall for all classes from Shooglenifty. They played us some of their music and the children all had a dance. Our class were joined by P3/4 and P6/7 for the performance. It was lovely to see the older boys and girls dancing and interacting with the younger children. 

We continued our work around Abbotsford this week learning more about knights and jousting. We labelled the features of a knights armour and made our own so words and shields. 
We looked at some designs for our shields, drew them and painted them. Some of the children added pictures of animals to their shields. We still have some finishing touches and handles to add but I’m sure you’ll agree that these look fantastic.
