This week we learned about Remembrance Day when we have a 2 minutes silence on 11th November because that was when World War 1 ended. We made poppy pictures with oil pastels and we wrote acrostic poems about the war using words that described the soldiers. We then made a Remembrance Day wall display with poppies, barbed wire and our poems and pictures.
A few weeks ago we looked at Diwali which is celebrated by Hindus. We made paper lanterns because it is the Festival of Lights. At this weeks assembly Mr Guthrie was talking about COP26 and why we should recycle. We have been learning more about climate change when we watch newsround everyday. Lexi and Ryan
