This weeks blog photos will be added at a later date, the internet at school has been down and the photos will be put up as soon as possible. Thank you to this weeks bloggers, Aiden and Lincoln.
This week in class we were making bloodshot eyeballs for Halloween decorations. We used black bits of paper for the pupil with oil pastels to add in eye colour and red pencil for the bloodshot. We also did Halloween art tutorials. My ones were poison and a skeleton coming out of a grave. On Friday we all wore costumes, some were witches, skeletons and some were zombies. I wore a bush costume. Lincoln and Aiden

In Literacy we were doing “Which one doesn’t belong” on the iPad. We had a picture of 4 bananas and we had pick which on didn’t belong. I picked the old one because the other ones were yellow and the old one was brown. I enjoyed doing this because it was fun and I got to write about why I picked the one I did.
In P.E. I did Netball. We were learning chest and shoulder passing and we were learning the best way to catch the ball. I liked doing the passing as I found it quite easy because I had done it before. After doing the passing we played a game of netball which was really fun. I am looking forward to doing more netball next week. Lilly Wylie We were making a game icon on the iPad and we were making it on Sketches School. It was for when we are older because we might have to do one. My one had 10 games and on the picture there was a sun and the sky. The name of my app is 10 games in 1. I enjoyed making the icon, it was fun. For spelling this week we had to write 5 sentences with our spelling words in them. I found I can do this quite easily because we have been doing this for a while. We had our spelling test on Thursday and I did well in it. I think writing the sentences helped me to remember. Emily. In PE on Wednesday we done some athletics practicing for a competition. It was long jumps ,an assault course. I really enjoyed because it was a lot of fun. I managed to jumped quite in the long jump and I was impressed with myself.
Over the past few weeks we have been doing stuff about homelessness and we have done presentations in groups to try raise money for the homeless charity’s. Today we are showing them to the class. I found this interesting. Ethan Millar This week we were editing our diaries so that we can make them better. We used VCOP which stands for vocabulary, connectives, openers and punctuation. On my writing I had to change 3 or 4 things and now it sound even better. This week we have been playing Sumdog for maths. My favourite game is the rollercoaster ride. Kerryann Johnston Outdoor learning
We went outside where we played for a bit in the woodland area. Then we did Maths in the woodland area. It was like a tic tac toe but we did it as a maths version. We had to put numbers in the grid and get the line to add up to 15 or 19. The person who finished the sum was the winner. Y.M.I – Music We did music and we learned how to mash the different sounds like the piano, the bass guitar and the drums. We tried to hear one of the sounds like the bass guitar 🎸 over the others. It was kind of hard because it had been turned down so it was difficult to hear over the other instruments. I think this music was fun to do and it’s so fun 🤩 MATHS We were adding up money during maths this week. We were also taking part in the Scottish Sumdog contest which meant we we had to play maths games on Sumdog to get more points. I played junk pile on Sumdog and you need to stack up pieces of junk to win and get more points. You get the junk by answering maths questions. Writing We were doing diary writing about little red riding hood and the big bad wolf. I was writing a diary pretending to be the wood cutter, others choose different characters. We had to say how they saw what happened in the story. I found it ok to write. After we wrote it we had to look at the success criteria and see if there were bits to uplevel. We did a redraft.
