Outdoor learning

We went outside where we played for a bit in the woodland area. Then we did Maths in the woodland area. It was like a tic tac toe but we did it as a maths version. We had to put numbers in the grid and get the line to add up to 15 or 19. The person who finished the sum was the winner.

Y.M.I – Music

We did music and we learned how to mash the different sounds like the piano, the bass guitar and the drums. We tried to hear one of the sounds like the bass guitar 🎸 over the others. It was kind of hard because it had been turned down so it was difficult to hear over the other instruments. I think this music was fun to do and it’s so fun 🤩

MATHS
We were adding up money during maths this week. We were also taking part in the Scottish Sumdog contest which meant we we had to play maths games on Sumdog to get more points. I played junk pile on Sumdog and you need to stack up pieces of junk to win and get more points. You get the junk by answering maths questions.

Writing
We were doing diary writing about little red riding hood and the big bad wolf. I was writing a diary pretending to be the wood cutter, others choose different characters. We had to say how they saw what happened in the story. I found it ok to write. After we wrote it we had to look at the success criteria and see if there were bits to uplevel. We did a redraft.
