Its been another busy week in Primary 7. We took our learning outside and practised partitioning 4 and 5 digit numbers. We made a start with our 'Famous Mathematicians' presentations that we have been working on since last week and we had a very interesting visit from PC Lee Harper, our local Police Liaison Officer. Have a fantastic October holiday week, stay safe and we will see you on Tuesday 19th October ready for Term 2. See below for some pictures from this week,
We have enjoyed Scottish Maths Week in Primary 7. We finished in 148th place out of over 7500 classes in the Sumdog Maths Week Challenge! We have completed lots of problem solving activities (even earning a special treat on Thursday for solving Mrs Goddard's Mystery Puzzle!) and have been researching famous mathematicians! Have a look at some of our photos below.....
Primary 7 have been settling back into school these past few weeks and have been doing really well!
Our PE days with Mr G. are Wednesday and Thursday.
Our Outdoor Learning day is a Tuesday.
Spelling homework is issued on a Monday, with our spelling test on the Friday.
Our topic this term is based around the novel 'The Nightbus Hero' by Onjali Q Rauf. We will be looking at the topics of kindness, friendship, homelessness among others, as part of this novel study.
The children have now all been issued with reading books and will be issued weekly reading homework.
We are enjoying our weekly Garageband lessons with our coach from YMI. Please can everyone try to ensure that their ipads are fully charged each day, but especially on a Tuesday when we have Garageband.
I have attached some images of what Primary 7 have been up to so far this term!
