We have been lucky enough to have Mrs Rowan visit us this term from YMI. Focussing on Scots Language, she has taught us some songs and let us try out her musical instruments. This week we had so much fun having a go at playing the ukulele! Thank you Mrs Rowan.

In Primary 1, we love practising our letter and number formation in fun, practical ways when we learn our new sounds. We have been using whiteboards, chalk, sand, rainbow rice, shaving foam, playdoh and even cereal recently!
After learning about the properties of circles, squares, rectangles and triangles in Primary 1, we went on a shape hunt around the classroom. Here is what we found!
Primary 1 had so much fun celebrating Halloween a few days early in class. We explored pumpkins using our senses, made magic wands with sticks and leaves, used our witches cauldrons in maths, made spooky sound soup in phonics and dressed up amongst other things!
We have been learning the “m” sound in Primary 1 today. We practised our letter formation, made monsters with playdoh and had a go at creating our own menus!
