Nurture is fundamental to the learning and development of each child. As such, it is important to consider this in our practice across the school as a whole.
Boxall Profile Online is a tool used by staff across the school to assess, track and monitor children. All of our learners complete the Glasgow Motivation and Wellbeing Profile twice per year. We use the information from these to inform approaches and planning across the school, in class, and for targeted group interventions. Learners also complete a Wellbeing Web each term to self-assess themselves against the wellbeing indicators (Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Responsible, Respected, and Included) and make their own targets.
To support our learners, we use a range of approaches including Emotion Works, Zones of Regulation, Trauma Informed Practice and Building Resilience. Please see pdf below for more information.
