Story of the Week

This week we will be reading 'The Colour Monster' with your children in the Sunshine Room. We will talk about the different emotions in the story and the colour which represents that emotion. Here is the story for you to look at and perhaps you can have some conversations with your child about it. We hope you enjoy it.

To extend the learning for the children, we will be putting out provocations in the Sunshine Room, linked to the feelings we have read about in the story e.g feeling spoons, sensory bottles linking to the colours/feelings.

Here are the monsters from the story and what feeling they represent - if you want to use these to talk with your child that would be fantastic and it would really help to reinforce and link what they are learning at ELC to the Home.
