Halloween!

This week in P7 we have been super excited about Halloween. On Monday we created some spooky Pablo Picasso inspired Frankensteins using layering of paper to create some fun art work.

During Spanish on Tuesday we learnt about the Mexican festival Los Día de Muertos (The Day of The Dead). We used our knowledge of what we had learnt to create our own Day of The Dead skull masks. Decorating them with bright colours and patterns.

On Thursday we received a delivery of pumpkins from bookers. We had a lot of fun carving and creating some terrifying pumpkins to take home. We used team work to work together to pull out all the seeds and gunk from inside our pumpkins. We all had gooey, slimy hands but this added to our fun and excitement. We had to work really carefully with spoons and knives to carve out are amazing faces.
Thank you to Bookers for the pumpkins! Check out our awesome creations!

To end our week some of the children came along to the Friends Of Langlee Halloween disco. We ran some games and the tuck shop to raise some money for our Leavers fund. Everyone dressed up and looked freakishly terrifying! We had a great time and even managed to raise around £80.
Our games were so popular we had to stop playing as we ran out of prizes!  Thank you to all the boys and girls who helped to run the games and sell the tuck items.

Remember parents evenings are on Monday and Wednesday next week.
We will also be going to the Academy for a Remembrance Assembly on Monday 11th November.
