It sure has been a while since P7 updated our blog - there has been so much going on!
On Friday, P7 did the school proud with their Remembrance Day assembly. Every pupil played their part in researching, creating powerpoints, sifting through notes, preparing and delivering the script, etc. It really was a lot of hard work and very respectfully done by the whole class. Well Done P7. Keep your eyes peeled for lots more (regular!) updates! Our first month in Primary Seven has been filled with plenty of learning, lots of different activities and opportunities for us to grow into successful, confident, responsible contributors to society. Bank of P7 and Class Jobs One of our favourite things about Primary 7 is the opportunity to take on different job roles within the school. Some of us are answering the phones in the office at lunchtime, others are helping with literacy in lower years in the school, a few are helping keep the school clean and we even have our very own noise monitor in class... which we definitely need! For completing our jobs successfully, we earn 'money' each week which we then use to pay our 'rent', 'electricity bill' and can use whatever is left to buy rewards or to save. Of course, as in life, we also have to pay fines for some things - but there are plenty of opportunities to make 'money' if we stick in, are respectful and work hard. (Oh yeah, we even have our own credit cards too!) They Don't Teach This in School
Another thing we have been enjoying is learning some new life skills that are not traditionally taught in Primary school. These skills will help us in our later life and the topic will continue all throughout the year - so expect us to be able to help with plenty of new chores and errands at home! Our first additional skill we learned was all about applying for jobs - we even created our own CVs! |
