Another busy week in P6/7! This week we have continued to learn all about Volcanoes. We completed making our volcanoes using paper mache and painted these to complete the look. Lots of teachers and staff commented on how good they looked as the passed them in the hallway. We then took these outside upon Friday to make an explosion. Although the coke and mentos was a #epicfail. The bicarbonate and vinegar made some slow eruptions, unfortunately none of the volcanoes went boom but non the less we had a fun time making and playing with them. See some pictures below of before and after!
We have continued to work on time this week and will soon be moving on to looking at money.
The P7s have been doing their SNSA assessments this week also which pupils complete in P1, P4 and P7. These will show teachers what other things we need to work on this year.
P7s please remember to order your hoodies and complete the form sent out for the Academy.
This weeks Star of The Week was Olivia - for showing maturity and working well on tasks in class!
Next week we will all begin learning about puberty and changes to our bodies. Miss Notman will send out some further information about this, this week. You may wish to discuss this topic further with your children.
