Literacy
- Writing, The Vacation. Answer a couple of the tasks below.

Story starter!
Everyone needs a vacation every now and then. Superheroes are no different.
Can you write a diary or story in the 1st person from the perspective of one of the characters? You could describe where you go on vacation and what activities you do. Does it all go to plan? Do you always get on with your fellow superheroes?

Sentence challenge!
Insert the inverted commas into the sentence below.
Can you use speech in your writing today? Remember to use inverted commas.

Did we have to bring him along? Spiderman muttered under his breath. He always breaks things.

Question time!
  • If you could go anywhere on holiday where would it be?
  • Who would you take with you?
  • Which of the superheroes would you most like to have on holiday with you?
  • What activities or sports do you think each of the characters would be good at?
  • Which of the characters would you most like to be? Why?

Perfect picture!
Can you draw or describe one of the superheroes doing an activity that you like doing?

Health and Well-Being
- Thank a friend and tell them why they bring you joy.
- S is for Senses. Our senses are how we experience life. If we have all our senses, we can see, hear, touch, feel, taste and smell. Some people are not able to use all of their senses so it helps that there are 5. Our senses help us to make sense of the world, and sometimes we rush through the day and don't use all of them.
Think: Whether you are inside or outside today, stop for a few minutes and notice what you can see, hear, touch, feel, taste and smell.
Say: "Today I am learning to use all of my senses and notice all the good things around me."
Do: Think about your 3 favourite senses. Try eating something today and investigate what your 3 senses are finding out.
