Some of the P6's got to go to Earlston High School for the Euroquiz. It's the first time Langlee Primary School have attended. We didn't expect some of the history questions and they were quite difficult. We had our own desk and there were a lot of schools there too. Next time we would recommend that the P6's look a lot at history questions. Miss Wilson is very proud of all of the pupils who wanted to take part in this quiz and happy to have the class represent Langlee.
This week was the last week in swimming, we all really enjoyed the free time at the end together.
We have continued practising the Jungle Book, we have been learning new songs and continuing with ones already practised. We learnt new rhythms and dances to new songs.
In maths we have been learning about equivalent fractions, playing games to help us learn. We have also been taking part in a Sumdog competition this week, we are currently sitting in fourth place.
We watched Roald Dahl stories called Revolting Rhymes, we will be looking at this tomorrow for World Book Day. In poems we have looked at alliteration. It is where the words start with the same letter or sound. Here are some examples: Peter Picker picks pandas, Super smart slithery silly Sam has cereal for super, Pigs pick pink pimply pineapples, Adam has an alpaca that is amazing at apple picking.
