English and Literacy
Handwriting – revise cursive handwriting with ur. I will post a YouTube video on Teams to help show you the formation of the words.
Spelling – look at your spelling list - ee. Create your own flashcards with your word list and read them with speed. Choose two activities from the spelling grid to go over your spelling words.
Reading – check emails to see what book you are to read on Oxford Owl this week. Complete Word Detective, look at the story words in front cover and find the meaning of any you don’t understand.
Look at the sounds and words within the front cover section of the book.
Numeracy and Maths
Basic Maths – Play a game to revise your basic maths facts.
Sumdog – Play 10 minutes.
Numeracy (multiplication) –
  • Continue to look at counting forwards and backwards in 2s from different starting points. Complete Counting in 2s Activity https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvTcpfSnOMQ.
  • Go over Making Equal Groups and Adding Equal Groups PowerPoints from last week to recap, I will keep them in Files.
  • Complete Fluency Groupings 2s, 5s and 10s and Repeated Addition Dice activity.
Health and Well-Being
HWB – Discuss the importance of hand-washing to prevent the spread of germs. Think about all the things our hands may touch in a day and collect germs from/leave germs. Create a ‘day in the life of my hands’ poster to demonstrate this. Please upload the poster on to Assignments in Teams.

Physical Activity – Please see Mr Cocolin’s PE timetable in Files on Teams. He has also set up an assignment for you to look at (PE challenge).

Extra Task
It is Burns Night today. Can you find out what it is and how we celebrate it?
