Good morning P3.
I will be updating this page daily to go alongside your paper pack that is available from the school. Please make sure you login to Teams as this is where I will be posting videos to help with your learning and any other important information.
I will be available on Teams throughout the school day (8.45am - 3.15pm).
Literacy and English
Handwriting - revise the ai, ee and igh sounds. I have left a space for you to write down your own word using those sounds. There is a video on Teams showing you how to form the words.
Spelling - look at the 100 tricky words list. Ask a person at home to read a word at a time and write the word either in your jotter or sound it out verbally. If you can also read the word colour the box in.
Reading - take the time to get familiar with Oxford Owl. I will post the link to the website and the username and password for you to use on Teams. Reading Levels can be found in your packs on the slip of paper.
Numeracy and Maths
Basic Maths - Look at the different games in your paper pack and choose one to play today.
Information Handling - We have been looking at Information Handling in Term 2. Complete the tally chart and graph. You do not need to have a tube of smarties, you could create your own sweets using bits of scrap paper like an envelope (make sure you look at the colour of the sweets from the graph to help you). *Edit. sorry only page one of two photocopied in your packs, please see below for the colours and the graph template that can be copied in to the jotters.
*Extra - You could create your own tally chart and graph in your jotters asking people at home or asking other family members over the phone what their likes are!?*
Maths challenge - Can you solve the Sudoku below? You will need to use numbers 1-4 for this challenge.
If you haven't played Sudoku before you can see the rules here: https://www.sudokukingdom.com/rules.php .
Health and Well-being
HWB - New Year's Reflection. Have a think about the questions in your pack and draw and note down your own reflections.
Daily Physical Activity - Look at the Keep It Moving! in your pack. If you do not have a dice you can print out the image below, copy the net on to a piece of paper at home or using 6 bits of paper write down the numbers 1-6 and pop it into a cup to use it as a lucky dip.
