We have been looking at comic strips and cartoons as part of our Scots topic. We have followed and listened to step by step instructions to create our own Gnasher cartoons. In literacy we have been looking at onomatopoeias. We came up with our own in class - bash, woof, bark, cheep, oink, dribble, rustling, vroom, grr, screech, crunch, howl, crack, neigh, purr, whoosh, cluck, quack, meow, roar, beep, bang... Can anyone think of the sound that a shark makes? In maths we have been looking at measuring with non-standard units. The class really enjoyed finding objects from around the classroom to measure with. Some of the children wanted to share their spelling sounds this week - EE and OO. In our Scots topic we have also been looking at Scottish Fashion designers and discussing elements of their designs what we liked. We used our note taking skills to draw or write down what we liked and then transformed our ideas into our own outfit designs. We wanted to share our Creativity Friday work with you.
