Kitbag is a thoughtfully designed multi-sensory resource created by the International Futures Forum (IFF), a Scottish educational charity. It is intended to foster calm, empathy, emotional self-awareness, and resilience in children. 

At Langlee, we use the Kitbag for some whole class activities as well as some small group work. The use of the ‘Talking Stick’ within the Kitbag helps every child to feel they have a voice and a turn to be heard, as well as developing listening skills and turn taking with others. The activities within the Kitbag also support transitions with calm ‘grounding’ activities as well as encouraging an understanding of self and others, and the ability to name, share and regulate their emotions. Across the group, it creates a shared language of kindness, listening and respect.
